Scott DL’s Enlightenment Saloon Released on Major Digital Platforms and CD

For Immediate Release

March 10, 2023 — Cedar Rapids, IA — Guitarist/vocalist Scott DL has released Scott DL’s Enlightenment Saloon, a new album recorded at The Artisan Studio at Brucemore in Cedar Rapids. Spanning rock and power pop to acoustic ballads, the album includes new songs plus selected compositions from prior releases that get new arrangements by producer Gerard Estella. Tracks available for the first time include New Normal, Industry of Leisure, Across the Sea, Heat Island, Forbidden Fruit, and Universal Travelers.

Scott DL was supported in the studio by Estella (keyboards, guitar), Jim Coates (guitar, mandolin), Lincoln Ginsberg (bass, cuatro), Dave Nanke (drums, percussion), and Aurélie Berta (vocals). Scott DL and the band have performed live at Brucemore and the Opus Concert Café in Cedar Rapids, with additional performances planned later this year.

The album is made possible by The Artisan Studio Series at Brucemore, whose mission is to inspire community interaction with history, preservation, and the arts, and is part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

About the Artist: Scott DL is a consummate musician who has been performing since his salad days. Starting in 1997, Scott performed around the U.S., released six CDs, and in 2013 recorded with legendary producer and engineer Bruce Swedien (Quincy Jones). In 2018, Scott moved to Cheltenham, UK to expand his musical horizons. His band included drummer Paul Arthurs (Moments of Pleasure: The Music of Kate Bush), keyboardist Peter Nemesvari (Mellowmatic), and bassist Mark Nye (Rio). After returning to the U.S. in 2021, Scott recorded Scott DL’s Enlightenment Saloon with producer Gerard Estella at The Artisan Studio at Brucemore in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which was released on March 10, 2023.
