Scott DL's Enlightenment Saloon

Scott DL is a consummate musician who has performed around the U.S. and released seven albums. He was a New Folk Finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival, TX in 2004 and 2007. In 2012, Scott recorded with legendary producer and engineer Bruce Swedien (Quincy Jones).

In 2018, Scott moved to Cheltenham, UK to expand his musical horizons. His band included drummer Paul Arthurs (Moments of Pleasure: The Music of Kate Bush, Alex Voysey), keyboardist Peter Nemesvari (Mellowmatic), and bassist Mark Nye (SlowJin).

After returning to the U.S. in 2021, Scott recorded Scott DL’s Enlightenment Saloon at The Artisan Studio at Brucemore in Cedar Rapids, which was released on March 10, 2023. In support of the album, Scott has been backed by Gerard Estella (keyboards, guitar), Aurélie Berta (vocals), Jim Coates (guitar), Lincoln Ginsberg (bass), and Dave Nanke (drums, percussion) at venues including CSPS Hall (Cedar Rapids), Opus Concert Café (Cedar Rapids), and Hanson Auditorium (Manchester, IA). Scott frequently collaborates with lyricist D. E. Pals whose career has spanned music, the art world, and digital media production.
